We attended our very first parent/teacher conference at the boys’ daycare Tuesday night. I keep in constant communication with their teacher so I was sure there were not any issues, but we were very excited to her what she had to say.
Miss “B” (who we LOVE so, so much!) had nothing but good things to say about the boys. She has no problems with either of them and they are both advancing & improving every day. She did mention that Colton loves to stack & sort things (typical of him at home too) and that he has started to say some of their other “friends” names. She also said that he loves to march & dance – which we do all the time at home too. She said Wyatt is very good at connecting things together – such as seeing a clock in a book & then showing her the clock on the wall in their classroom (he loves pointing out things like this at home too). She said Wyatt also loves the cause/effect stuff like banging on a drum or kicking a ball.
She said she can tell that they definitely feel much more comfortable going outside or to the dramatic play room or to the large motor room than they did when they first started. This shows the trust they have in their teachers & how much more comfortable they are getting at daycare – treating it like home.
It was fun as a parent to hear her “brag” all about my boys. It was also nice to have a one-on-one discussion with her without the distractions or interruptions we have during our daily drop-off time.
It’s great to know how much our boys are loved at the place they spend a majority of their day at while Cory & I are at work. It assures me even more that we chose the right center for our boys.
Great update! It's really nice to hear how well the boys are doing at daycare!
