Last weekend the boys & I went out to my parents’ house to visit them, along with my sister and nephews who stopped out too, while Cory worked overtime that Saturday morning.
My dad had found a battery powered jeep in good condition at a garage sale the year before – my nephew “I” loved driving that thing around last summer! My dad had it all cleaned up & charged up, ready for the boys to try out.
They were excited to get in the jeep but weren’t quite tall enough to reach the pedal to make it “go”. So mommy held down the pedal for them & ran alongside of the jeep as the boys were enjoying the ride. (What a nice mommy!) After leaving Wyatt play in the jeep by himself for just a few minutes, he figured it all out! He scooted his butt forward & leaned towards the pedal & got it to “GO!”. Yipee Wyatt!! He was so happy with himself – he had a smile from ear-to-ear. He, however, did not quite grasp the concept of steering yet, so I would just follow him around & help him change directions before crashing into something (such as mommy’s car or papa’s truck). He was so proud of himself.
After a little while my sister & nephews arrived, so then big cousin “I” was giving the boys rides in the jeep, while he drove. The boys loved that too.
