I followed Wyatt who was just scooping up eggs left & right. Cory went with Colton who was getting his fair share as well. When Wyatt’s bucket was about ¾ full, he stopped in the middle of the yard…..and DUMPED THEM ALL OUT! Crazy kid. He just kept on going, finding more & more eggs. Of course, Colton seeing this had to dump out his bucket as well – so a couple of the other kids hit an egg-pile jackpot a couple of times if they were following the boys. We ended up with quite a few eggs & our fair-share of candy.
After the Easter egg hunt, the Easter bunny made a special appearance. We haven’t done the whole “Santa” or “Easter Bunny” visit-at-the-mall thing with the boys yet, so we didn’t know how they were going to react. Colton didn’t like him at all! He just wanted to be held & kept telling the Easter bunny “Bye-bye!”. Wyatt wasn’t overly excited but was intrigued & watchful. Some of the kids took turns giving the bunny hugs & having their picture taken with him but my boys were not interested. Cory did take them both up & just stood near the bunny at the end…and that was plenty for Colton!
After the hunt & bunny visit – it was food & play time! There was a buffet table full of different breakfast foods & juices to enjoy and plenty of kids for the boys to play with.
We all had a blast & I can’t wait to do it again next year.
