Easter weekend – Part 2

We had a blast dyeing Easter eggs as a family Saturday afternoon, after the boys’ naps. (The boys had dyed eggs at daycare last week, but their teacher had found some “paint-on-with-brushes” type dye that worked really well for their age group.)

We were doing this the good, old fashion way with small cups & colored vinegar/water. I didn’t know how messy the boys would get with this project, so we over-planned & striped them down to their diapers. It went great! They were so interested in helping but were so patient – it was a lot of fun. They each got to pick the color they wanted to dye their eggs in each round. A couple of the eggs were definitely “dropped” into the colored water a little harder than others but we had no major messes – a success!

We were so blessed with beautiful weather in the morning during our egg hunt but the rain moved in shortly after lunchtime. This was an excellent project to do with the boys on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
