Pre-Mother's Day Fun!

My Mother's Day weekend started early on Friday with the day off of work to spend with my mom & sister - thrift sale-ing & shopping.  It's an annual thing that we do every year!  It was a fun, relaxing day with beautiful weather & good buys.

We headed home by early afternoon so I could head over to the boys' daycare.  The daycare was putting on a "muffins for moms" event Friday afternoon & invited all moms to come in and enjoy a muffin snack with their kids to celebrate Mother's Day.  I joined the boys, their teacher Miss "B" & one of their little friends (their class was pretty empty that day) for a yummy blueberry muffin!

Saturday afternoon, I got another "break" during the boys' naps when I headed to a local greenhouse with my mom & sister (& nephews) to buy my annual flowers.  I picked up two beautiful hanging baskets to hang on our front porch & a couple extra flowers to put in a planter in front of the garage.  I'm going to have the boys help me plant them (sounds like a fun/messy project with two toddlers, right??!!) as soon as I get some potting soil.

Some of the blossoms we picked out...
