Mother’s Day 2012

My Mother’s Day started with the greatest gift my husband could give me – a morning to sleep in!! Sleeping in, in our household is usually only until around 7-7:30 AM, but it felt so good. When I got up, I could hear Cory & the boys playing downstairs…little did I know, they had been spending the morning decorating mommy’s Mother’s Day card.

I was greeted in the kitchen by my two sweet boys & my hubby – holding a gigantic card, flowers & candy (including peanut butter M&M’s – my fav!).

My little boys artwork for mommy...hand tracings & everything!

Cory made me (& the boys) fresh blueberry pancakes & sausage for breakfast, which was delicious.

We packed up & headed over to my parents house for lunch – grilling out chicken, burgers & brats. Both of my sisters & their families made it up – it was nice to have everyone together for the day. The boys had a blast playing with their cousins too.

Our afternoon consisted of naps (for the boys only – although mommy could have used one too!), stopping over at the neighbor girl’s 1st birthday party, taking a short walk & just hanging around at home – playing, watering flowers & playing some more. We really enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Cory ordered pizza for dinner, so I didn’t have any cooking or cleaning up to do – LOVED that.

It was a wonderful day filled with lots of love from my 3 favorite boys!

Our first attempt at a picture together -
they both had wiggles in their shorts!

What they'd rather be doing instead...
(see how BIG my card was!)

This is the best you get sometimes
with two toddler boys!
