We bought some potties for the boys a month or so ago & have been wanting to introduce them ever since. I keep forgetting to do it before bath time so I finally moved them into the bathroom this weekend so we’d remember. Their first time sitting on the potties was on Friday night before bath time & to our surprise Wyatt peed!!! Whoo-hoo…way to go Wyatt. We clapped & cheered & made a big fuss about it. Colton did great that night also, sitting on his potty. I tried with the boys again on Saturday morning after we brushed their teeth because Wyatt saw the potties in the bathroom & wanted to sit on them again. Again, to our surprise, Wyatt peed!! Both boys sat down & tried though. We tried one more time before bath Sunday night but no results from either boy. Then when I was out with the girls for dinner last night & I received a text message from the hubby part-way through our meal – “Wyatt went pee-pee on the potty”! Whoop-whoop!!
I’m not expecting anything major at this point. We are just at the point of wanting to introduce them to the idea & let them take the lead when they show interest. I don’t know if I should be excited about this phase beginning or dreading it – will they be easy & feed off of each other or make it twice as hard? I know one thing – I will not miss having to buy diapers, when the time comes!
