Mini-spring break – Part 3

Day #3 was check-out day & time to head back home. Our vacation had gone by too quickly but it wasn’t over quite yet.

We had breakfast in our room (yummy homemade blueberry muffins & strawberry scones made by the boys & me before we left home) and packed up all of our stuff. The resort required check out by 11 AM but allowed you to remain on-site, utilizing all of its amenities for the remainder of the day.

Funny faces!
(Both boys with the huge bouncy balls Daddy won them!)
After picking up our finished pottery (pictures to come) and packing up the truck, we headed back over to the water park that we had enjoyed the day before. (We were going to try out another one of the water parks before leaving that day, but unfortunately it was closed for the day.) Our whole crew met up there (we had been vacationing with 2 other sets of friends & their kiddos) to enjoy one last dose of water fun before heading back home.

The boys were even more confident in the water this final day, which was fun to see. We hit up everything we had the day before – the slides, fountains, lily-pad-monkey-bars, water basketball, indoor/outdoor hot tub and just plain-old-swimming! They swam their little hearts out!

Wyatt & Daddy.

Wyatt - taking a break.

Colton & Daddy.

Colton, the little fish!

When they were all “swimmed-out” we had a quick snack & showers and then headed home after stopping for a quick lunch & gas. The boys slept the entire way home – getting some much needed rest after 3 days of fun!

Colton relaxing.

Wyatt being silly.
We loved the resort & will definitely go back for another mid-winter/spring time vacation in the future!
