Mini-spring break – Part 2 – PM

After lunch & naps back at the hotel room, we took the boys to explore a ball pit/climbing fort and the arcade. The arcade was first. The games were a decent price because we put $10 worth of credits on their playing card and it took quite a while to work our way through that amount. The boys played a bunch of the typical arcade games including ski-ball, whack-a-shark and car racing. Then daddy took them to the giant-claw game and won them both a huge bouncy ball!

Lizard sticky tongues game - so cute.

Catch the popcorn game.

Whack-a-shark - Wyatt.

Whack-a-shark - Colton.

Riding together on a simulated train ride.

Don't let their faces fool you - they LOVED it!

After we ran out of credits in the arcade, we headed over to the ball fort. This place had all sorts of ways to have fun. There were soft, foam balls shooting out of air-pressured holes/cannons everywhere. It was also a 4 story climbing obstacle, with tunnels, nets and slides to work your way through. Wyatt’s favorite part was collecting the balls & putting them in the big ball pot on the first level. Colton’s favorite part seemed to be shooting the balls out of the cannons on the other 3 levels, as well as climbing through the rest of the maze. It was definitely an energy burner! There were a couple of times when Cory or I were climbing through with one of the boys & thought we might get stuck at a dead end up on the 3rd & 4th level, but we made our way out…eventually.

(You have to look close but both boys went down
together & are waiting for Mom & Dad to come down after them.)

All this fun had worked up an appetite, so we joined our friends & their little girl out to dinner at a local pizza place/brewery. The food was delicious and the restaurant extra-impressed me by bringing out a totally separate peanut & tree nut allergy menu (although we didn’t need the tree nut one, it was awesome to see the work & care they put into caring about their customers with food allergies). The boys convinced their daddy that they needed another stuffed animal & each picked out a new moose in the restaurant’s gift shop to take home with us. Colton named his moose “Sidewalk” (a lot of his stuffed “friends” have names of things he just sees like “Wall” and “Door”…it’s quite funny!) and Wyatt named his moose “Little moose”. A small token of our first “bigger” family vacation that they took home with them.

Wyatt & "P".

Three little moose.

Colton being silly!

Funny face from Wyatt too!

Back to our room we went to crash for the night; we were all exhausted. The boys slept great again that second night. Both Cory & I agreed that two nights was too short & that we should have stayed another night to relax more & enjoy more of the resort…a lesson learned for next time.
