A couple weekends ago Cory spent up at a friend’s cabin for some ice fishing fun (or not so fun since it barely got into the teens for temps!). The boys & I had no plans all weekend and had a great time.
We had one of our friends over on Friday night for some playtime & dinner (she also happens to be one of the teachers at the boys daycare, but she’s married to Cory’s good friend & we’ve know her for so much longer than that). Saturday morning we met up with my sister & nephews at the local children’s museum. It promised to be a bitterly cold day & this got us out of the house to burn off a bit of energy. Saturday evening was homemade pizza & Despicable Me movie night. We went to Sunday School on Sunday morning, birthday present shopping (which we were going to do on Saturday night but I decided it was too cold to leave the house!) and then to my niece “H”’s 12th birthday party for lunch. Daddy came home from the cabin just in time to join us for the party.
A fun mommy-and-boys weekend indeed!
