Our rainy day at the local lamb farm.

We have made it a yearly tradition, since the boys were born, to visit a local lamb farm in March/April. It’s fun to look back & see how much they’ve grown. This year was the most fun, by far. The first year they really didn’t realize what was going on & were just along for the ride…last year they were excited to go but weren’t the biggest fan of the big sheep & how loudly they bleated…this year, they LOVED it! So fun.

We again met my parents, younger sister & nephews at the farm and had a fun morning exploring all the different animals. This year’s weather put a little damper on the day – solid rain – so some of the outdoor activates we not going on, but we made the most of it & had more than enough fun just inside the barn!

I think the baby chicks & the baby goats were the favorites, but both boys were excited with each new animal we saw. They were both even brave enough to hold a baby lamb & a baby goat. I love to watch them explore, learn & grow.

This experience means so much to Cory & I to give to our boys as both of our grandparents farmed while we were growing up, but sadly, those family farms are no longer active. Our boys will never have the same type of farm exposure & experiences as Cory & I had as children…but this is the next best thing!
