All dressed up!

The first weekend in April, a cousin of mine got married. This was the first wedding the boys had been to since last fall, so they weren’t quite sure what to expect. Boy, did they have a blast!

We had to drive 1 ½ hours to get to the wedding, so we timed it perfectly & travelled during the boys’ afternoon naps. We met up with the rest of my immediate & extended family at a nearby hotel to waste a little time & get into our dressy clothes before the reception began. The reception included a dinner of chicken alfredo & spaghetti (so yummy!) – lucky for me, my boys weren’t too interested in their pasta that night & kept their clothes fairly clean...until dessert. The cupcakes were a totally different story – they loved them & became a complete mess from those instead!

The dance was their favorite part of the day. The DJ was my brother-in-law, so the boys thought it was super cool to help uncle “S” set up & to be able to hang out up-front with all of his “cool” equipment. Wyatt sat up front, with uncle “S”’s wooden guitars and played and grooved to the music all night. Colton didn’t come off the dance floor once all night – he was a dancing fool & I LOVED it! I got to dance with all three of my handsome men that night.

We had a fun day, visiting with family & staying up past our normal bedtimes.

(We had another wedding this past weekend for a friend on Cory’s softball team, so we got to do it all over again & the boys knew what to expect that time – they were excited about going from the first time we told them we had another wedding to go to...although they expected uncle “S” to be the DJ, which he was not, so that took a little explanation that more than just uncle “S” play music.)
