Last blast of winter fun?

We are really ready to say goodbye to winter this year but with the threat of another 4-8 inches of snow coming tonight (yikes – this truly is the winter that will never end!), this post seems fitting for today.

A couple weeks ago, we started to get warmer temps (& by warmer temps, I mean in the upper 30s/low 40s) so we thought the spring meltdown was on its way. We spent a couple nights outside playing in the snow & getting a few last rides on the snowmobile. The boys had a blast & I’m glad we got & enjoyed more of the snow we’ve been wishing away for the past month. The boys went with Daddy & put the snowmobile away for the season this past Sunday afternoon.

The meltdown has continued very slowly (although that really is a good thing for flooding purposes). As of yesterday, almost all of our snow was gone, besides the large piles from plowing. Then, last night we got blasted with almost 3” and are on the edge of a winter storm warning that lasts all day tomorrow – yuk!!

Bring on SPRING already!

Pretending to ride with Daddy.

Driving on their own!!

Daddy & Colton going fast!

Shoveling snow.

Watching for Wyatt & Daddy to come back from their ride.

Wyatt & Daddy back from their "fast" ride.

Wyatt, crawling through the snow.

Wyatt & 1 of the 2 snowmen we built this year.
(Both have since melted away.)

Silly Wyatt.
