Easter – Part 1 – Dying Eggs

Our Easter weekend started out with the boys & I needing to waste some time before our church’s Easter egg hunt at noon. Cory was helping out his brother move a cool wooden playhouse from his house to ours – so that left me outnumbered by kiddos during this year’s egg-dying-adventure.

The boys did really great. I had them put on “older” clothes that I didn’t care about as much about if they got stained & lined the kitchen table with newspapers. They listened to my directions and didn’t drop too many eggs into the dye cups from 1 foot+ off the table…not too many. We dyed a dozen +1 eggs and called it a day. They had more patience with some more than others, so we got an array of different shades of each color – some dark, some light.

Colton patiently waiting...

Wyatt checking on his blue egg.

Egg dying time!

Being so careful.

The end result!
I think they turned out great & the best part about it is that both boys will actually eat hard boiled eggs – kind of crazy, if you ask me!
