We had a fun family weekend.
We took Cory’s dad out for his birthday on Friday night, along with Cory’s brother, niece & brother’s girlfriend. The boys behaved very well while out at the restaurant but were too bothered by people watching to eat much – good thing they ate free!! Cory worked some overtime on Saturday while the boys & I joined Cory’s cousin & family down at the local children’s museum. The boys had a blast and were very well behaved for me. Cory had a bow hunting club banquet Saturday night which left me a little “me” time after the boys went to be to watch the movie “The Help” – LOVED it! (I’m hooked and have the book on my to-read list now.) Sunday morning we just hung out as a family at home (skipped church for this week) and then headed off to a friend’s house after afternoon naps for a Super Bowl party. The boys had fun and had plenty of kids to play with (they LOVED running after the "big" kids).
After such a wonderful weekend, Colton woke up with one big, red, puffy eye yesterday morning and I knew at first sight it was pink eye (the boys both dealt with a round of pink eye back in December). I stayed home in the morning with both the boys and my mom came over for the afternoon, so I could get a couple hours in at work. His eye was looking better last night after a day’s worth of medication. Then this morning, surprise, the other eye is big, red & puffy – poor little guy!
So Wyatt’s taking on daycare all by himself today (my BIG boy!) while Colton had to take another day with grandma to start medication in the other eye before going back to daycare tomorrow. I’m not sure he minded much though – he was soaking in getting all of grandpa & grandma’s attention this morning when I dropped him off.
What a start to our week!
