Both of the boys have been showing signs of teething for quite a while now and up until yesterday, we hadn’t really seen any action on the tooth-breaking-through front. Yesterday, my sister (our daycare provider) was finally able to feel a tooth break through on the bottom of Colton’s mouth.
Yippee – finally, our first tooth! Woo-hoo Colton!!
I was so excited to get home and check it out. Of course, he would move his tongue down every time you tried to open his mouth to sneak a peek, so I had to be a bit craftier. I got him start laughing really hard, which made him open his mouth and then I’d sneak a peek while he was laughing. Both of his bottom front teeth spots looked white. I tried feeling, but didn’t feel anything broke through. So, we couldn’t quite tell if one was broke through and one was close or what.
I’m having my sister double check today and I will tonight as well, so an update will be coming shortly as to which tooth or teeth have broken through. So exciting…and maybe that helps explain a little bit of why they have been so crabby at night and not sleeping well.
