40 Weeks Old

April has started out to be a busy month for our household. I hit up a local consignment sale last weekend along with taking the boys to the lamb farm. The boys turned 9 months old & had their 9 month checkup last Wednesday (pictures to come!). Cory & I had the weekend away with our good friend, Cory’s cousin & wife, taking in two awesome Brewers vs. Cubs games in which the Brew Crew won (which also included enjoying our first 80 degree weather)!! The boys spent the weekend at my parents’ house & did great! I had the day off of work yesterday which I enjoyed by spending half of it hanging out with Wyatt & Colton and the other half of it out shopping (which wasn’t very productive on my part – my goal was new jeans, swimsuit & sunglasses for sure and I only ended up coming home with new sunglasses).

I still have to call to make the boys 9 month picture appointment. I need to start digging through their next size clothes (12 months) to see if they will start fitting into that because a lot of the 6-9 month clothing is getting just a bit too small.

The boys are sleeping around 10-11 hours each night. They fall asleep somewhere between 6:45-7:15 PM and don’t wake up much for their last bottle around 8:45 PM. They are sleeping in their cribs for the night around 9:15-9:30 PM. They sleep until around 6:00-6:30 AM. They have been waking up between 4-5 AM lately but we have been able to get them to go back to sleep, after re-wrapping them with their blanket & turning on their seahorses, until after 6 AM.

The boys have received the “go-ahead” from their pediatrician to start eating real, adult food. I’m sure it’ll take a little bit of time to transition into that for them but we are very excited to start trying! We added breakfast into the boys’ meal schedule last week. They get yogurt each morning right before their 9 AM bottle. They love yogurt.

Wyatt
Waving Hi!/Bye! – Wyatt has been waving for about a month now. He started out just randomly doing it but now will wave to you in return to you waving at him. He puts his whole arm into it – waving it UP & DOWN! It’s so funny.

Colton
Waving Hi!/Bye! – Colton has been waving for about a week now. He sticks his arm straight up and while leaving it in one place he opens & closes his hand. It’s so cute.
