22 Weeks

*How far along? 22 weeks 4 days
*How big is baby? The babies are as big as papayas during this 5th month.
*Genders? Two boys!
*Total weight gain? I am up closer to 18 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight – just a little bit shy of the twins guideline goal of 20 lbs by 20 weeks.
*Maternity Clothes? All maternity clothes now!
*Stretch marks? I’m not sure, but I think I might have found my first stretch mark this morning – kind of depressing, although I think I knew it was coming.
*Sleep? Quality is starting to go downward in this department – I’m starting to find it hard to find a comfortable position to sleep in at night. I tried a body pillow but it was too big for comfort. I now have a small blanket bunched under my belly which seems to work for now – I might try a pillow between my legs to help with my hips too.
*Movement? More & more movement each day. Sometimes they are both awake but other times they are on their own schedules. Cory can feel quite a bit of movement from the outside as well, which has been awesome & exciting to share with him.
*Food cravings? No strong ”pregnancy” cravings – ice cream has still been tasting pretty good lately.
*Labor signs? None.
*Belly button in or out? I thought it’d stay in for awhile, but I was wrong. It’s starting to “pop” a little more this week even though I still have somewhat of an “innie” left.
*What I miss? My previous energy & fitness level. I’m giving my body plenty of rest to help grow these babies big & strong but it’s a hard adjustment for me not to just be constantly buzzing around and having to take breaks while doing simple things like cleaning the house.
*What I am looking forward to? Going to a big “Moms of Multiples” consignment sale this next weekend – excited to see what I can find for the boys!!
*Best moment this week? Getting the bath tub refinished and the two extra bedroom ceilings painted. That means that we can move onto the wall painting this next week hopefully – which will then allow us to get the carpet put in – putting us closer & closer to finished rooms!!
