Today I hit the 16 week mark! I also had my second doctor’s appointment, which did not involve very much. It was the typical blood pressure check & general health questions. Then the exciting part came – hearing the heartbeats again. (During our last doctor’s appointment they were unable to pick up two distinct heartbeats, which lead them to send us over to have an ultrasound – no complaints here; it just gave us more pictures for the babies’ photo album!) This time was different. The babies’ heartbeats were a bit easier for the nurse to pick up and there was quite a speed difference between the two.
The first baby’s heartbeat was in the 140s and the second baby’s heartbeat was in the 170s.
It was so much fun to hear them again and really neat to be able to tell the difference between the two.
