Our 1st Ultrasound

We found out that we were pregnant the weekend after Thanksgiving. My husband was away at a cousin's cabin for the weekend but I couldn't wait for him to get home to take the test. I was lucky enough to be able to surprise him with a "Pregnant" read out on the pregnancy test when he arrived home that Sunday.

After calling the clinic, the first thing they did was set up our first ultrasound which ended up being during our 8th week of pregnancy - January 4th, 2010.
We were both very excited to go to our first ultrasound! When we got in the room and the ultrasound began the nurse began scanning for a baby. My husband says that he knew right away, but to both of our SURPRISE - she found two babies on that ultrasound - TWINS!!! We got to hear both heartbeats - one was 178 bpm and the other was 170 bpm.

We both were on an emotional rollercoaster ever since, but especially me and especially during that first week after the ultrasound. Don't get me wrong - we are very, very excited that we are being blessed with twins, but my pregnancy brain runs wild from time-to-time trying to figure out how our day-to-day life is going to play out with two babies.
