We had a fabulous 4th of July. We were invited over to a friends’ house, on the lake, for a grill out & some swimming fun. They had two kiddy pools filled up for the kids to splash around in. It was the first time the boys had been in any kind of water except the bath tub (we’ve been meaning to get them to a pool to go swimming but it just hasn’t worked out yet). They had a BLAST! They splashed around, played and moved from pool to pool. They were a little crabby in the afternoon but I’m blaming that on their lack of appetite at lunch and teething (what can’t you blame on teething?!).

On a side-note – Colton has started to pull himself up to stand on things other than his crib. On Tuesday, he pulled himself up on the little red wagon while we were playing outside and then yesterday he pulled himself up on both daddy’s nightstand and one of the living room end tables – what a quick learner that one is!
