29 Week Update

Well, here we are – the last week in the 20’s…I’m so excited to be hitting the 30 week mark tomorrow. Each week that passes without complications is a blessing and that’s how we’re taking it – week-by-week!

Last Friday afternoon I worked from home because my hands & feet were really starting to swell up at work because it was really hot & humid in the office – being at home really helped out a lot. Cory put up the closet organizer in the nursery that afternoon and I played around with its design Saturday morning (it’s a re-arrangeable one). Saturday morning I also did a little summer maternity clothes shopping and picked up some shorts, capris and tank tops. Saturday afternoon I went to a baby shower for Cory’s cousin’s wife who is due and expecting a little boy at the end of June – it was a rubber ducky themed party and had a ton of fun games and beautiful decorations! Saturday evening I did a little more organizing in the nursery closet and Cory & I also put together the pack ‘n play. Sunday was my last baby shower which was with my mom’s side of the family. All of my aunts and almost all of my girl cousins were able to make it & we had a good time and I received a ton of nice gifts – Thank You everyone!!

This week has been dedicated to searching for a dresser to match the cribs (more difficult than I thought it would be), washing & organizing all thrift sale & second-hand clothing so I can see what we have and look through all the brand new items to see if we still need anymore. This afternoon we have an ultrasound, which I am really looking forward to so I can see the boys again. Tonight I’m also visiting some of the local fabric stores with a good friend to pick out some fabric; she will be making bed skirts for the cribs in plain dark brown to match the bedding we already have – she is the best!
