Lucky for us, the weekend before Christmas had a slight warm-up into the 20s. We met up with our friends & kiddos and went to a near-by sledding area, which was not very busy. The hills were a little steep for this mommy’s comfort but after the first time down the hill with one riding with me & one riding with Cory, I could see they were not scared at all and having a blast! Colton even enjoyed riding down on our friends’ inner-tube, which flew about twice the speed as the sleds did, and loved it! What a work-out for the mommies & daddies sledding is tough – the ride down is great but pulling a sled full of kids back up that steep, steep hill…that only happened a couple times before all the kids were forced to walk back up themselves.
We also got out one more time over our Christmas time-off the Friday after Christmas, where the temps soared into the 30’s (which truly seemed like a heat-wave). We went to our friends’ neighbor’s house this time and got some good sledding in again that afternoon.
Thanks “S” family for some fun & crazy sledding times! We still have to plan a couple more while we still have snow.
