After a fun, full day of baking we once again joined in the “walk through the park” night at our local park that puts on a spectacular Christmas lights display. For that night only, the park is closed to car traffic to allow families to walk through & enjoy the park lights together. There is also a special appearance from Santa & Mrs. Clause!
This year, the rest of the baking crew joined Cory, I & the boys for the walk (last year we did the walk night on our own). It was a decent night, slightly cold but not too bad for us to enjoy the lights. It had also snowed a couple inches that day and was still snowing when we went – all that fresh snow made it that much more beautiful & fun. We made a stop to get the kids’ picture taken with Santa & Mrs. Clause – Colton was the only one not interested in getting in that picture…he took his candy cane & ran! We also stopped in the warming house to warm up with some hot chocolate & cookies.
It was a fun night & a tradition I’d like to continue for years to come!
