Let’s fly a kite!

Last Friday (also my birthday!!) was super windy. When we heard the forecast that Monday was going to be about the same, Cory remembered that we had kites & gave us the great idea for a fun activity to do on a normally un-eventful Monday evening.

The winds definitely weren’t as strong but they were just about perfect for two little 3 year olds to fly their first kites.

They both needed a little help to get the kites up & flying but did great on their own once they were up & going. We had a few crashes (including one in a tree caused by mommy when I was more focused on finding my lens cover I had lost on the ground then where the kite was – daddy rescued it!) but all-in-all the boys enjoyed it & did awesome. Colton was a bit more interested than Wyatt (who was busy collecting “pretty flowers” for mommy while mommy flew his kite) but I think they both had a lot of fun with it.

Wyatt patiently waiting to head out.

And the kites are up!!

Look at my kite mama!

Pretty flowers for you mama.

Time to wrap it up.
