Fall fun!

We just wrapped up a week without Daddy & Bailey around. (They took a hunting trip to North Dakota to do some bird hunting.) We filled out schedule to stay as busy as possible to make the time fly by & it did!

Last Friday I got a little adult-only break & was able to enjoy a concert with a great bunch of friends. Wyatt & Colton had a sleep over at Grandpa & Grandma’s while I was away, which included Grandma coming in & reading a couple books (Llama Llama Bully Goat & Steam Train, Dream Train) to their class and taking them home. Sunday also included making/canning applesauce in the afternoon, mostly during naps, but both Wyatt & Colton helped out after they woke up. We filled up the rest of our week nights with parent/teacher conferences, pizza night & a trip to the library. 

We wrapped up our time alone with a trip to a local produce farm that has some fun fall activates for the kids. We met our good friends, the “B” family, there too. It’s free & the boys really enjoyed it last year. It’s much busier on the weekends but going during the week, we practically had the place to ourselves. They have a huge play set, corn box, petting zoo & fall-themed games. They usually have a small hay-bale maze but with the last weeks’ rain, they were clearing it all up because it was basically a muddy, soggy mess.

When we got home, I asked the boys their favorite part of the night – Wyatt said feeding the baby goats & the water pump game. Colton said everything.

We made it through the week & are very happy to have Daddy & Bailey arrive home late last night safely.
