Easter key-lime cookies

My boys love helping me out in the kitchen, whether it’s measuring, pouring or mixing! I ran across a key-lime flavored cookie mix during my last grocery shopping trip & just had to try it. I decided to make them last Sunday afternoon and told the boys if they took good naps that they could help me out. The first thing out of Colton’s mouth after he woke up from nap that afternoon was: “We help you make cookies now Mommy?”…so sweet!

After all the measuring, pouring, mixing & baking, I gave each of the boys their own cookie to frost & decorate (yes, they had special key-lime frosting to go along with them too, which I could have eaten straight out of the can). The boys had fun making their own little creation but weren’t too fond of the taste of the sprinkles in the end, so we had to do some sprinkle-scraping off so that they could enjoy just their plain, frosted cookies.

Super yummy!

...turned into a BUNCH of sprinkles!

Sprinkle time for Colton too.
