Parade Prep

We decided to not go camping this Labor Day weekend & instead, stick around home and make up our plans as we went. A local small town has their annual festival on Labor Day weekend, which always includes a parade on Sunday. Good friends of ours own an RV shop and had decided to put together a float, promoting their business, in the parade this year. They were nice enough to invite us to join them.

Monday night, before Labor Day weekend, we met with a group of friends out at their house to start the assembly of the float. There were 7 kids total, ranging in age from 6 months – 6 years, which kept the boys occupied (& fighting over toys). From decorating the trailer, to loading the campers onto the trailer to decorating a small wagon – everyone helped out in one way or another and the kids had a blast playing together too.

It was a really fun night with friends and when we left to go home, the float was looking pretty darn good.

All the kids playing.

Playing & decorating.

Getting the wagon all ready.

Riding his tractor.
(He was a little bit of a tractor-hog that night - he LOVED that thing!)

Watching the "big boys" load up the campers.

Making progress...

Needing a refreshment - drinking mommy's water again!
