Our local park has a petting zoo that is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The weekend after Memorial Day we decided to take the boys down to check it.
We started out our visit with feeding the ducks bread at the duck pond, but most of them were still sleeping & not very active. Then we took a nice, big walk through the entire park first, since we arrived before petting zoo hours opened.

Wyatt was excited to see all the animals in the barn…Colton was not. I took Colton in first but he said “All done!” right away. I tried to convince him that is was fun to see all the different animals, but he wanted nothing to do with it, so he & I waited outside and looked at the bunnies & bird (which did not bother him at all – probably because they’re not as loud as the pigs, sheep & goats). Wyatt had a blast in the barn with Cory, even getting to feed the sheep.

We had a fun morning, enjoying the beautiful weather outside. It was our first, of many, visits to the petting zoo this summer. I’m certain Colton will eventually come around & enjoy the barn too.
Just wait, you probably wont be able to get him to leave by the end of summer :)
