The "mommy brain" - is it a myth or a fact of becoming a mother??
I've heard from other moms that you get the "mommy brain" (being very forgetful) starting when you are pregnant and it continues even after your children are born. I had my first major "mommy brain" moment today (or maybe I can just blame it on my major sleep deprivation).
I adjusted the boys' feeding schedule, got them dressed, packed up and in the truck to go to their 1 month check-up aapointment today only to find out that the boys did not have an appointment today (their doctor isn't even working today), but NEXT Monday. Uuuuggggg!!! I made sure to double check their appointment day & time with the doctor's office before heading back home. I was so proud of myself - our first day - just the three of us, and I got us ready & out of the house before 10 AM. I was just so sure that their appointment was today but when I arrived home and checked my calendar.......I do have it written down for next Monday, just like the doctor's office had it.
On the bright side - at least we got out of the house today! ;)
Oh Angie just wait it gets even better! Mommy brain is horrible for me! I read that it is worse for nursing moms too. That explains the last 10 months! Oh, and I encourage you to keep trying with the breastfeeding. Mine now wont let me wean and it took Ellie 2.5 mths to actually get back to the breast after her NICU stay.
