It’s official – we’ve finally hit the BIG 3-0!! No, I’m not talking years (although both Cory & I will be hitting this milestone later this year), I’m talking weeks in my pregnancy. I am very excited to have made it this far & hope that both my & the babies’ good health continues.
Last Wednesday we had another ultrasound & checkup. The boys looked great and got all their “points” during the ultrasound (meaning that everything the ultrasound tech was checking for health & organ wise looked great). Baby A was estimated at 3 lbs and Baby B was estimated at 3 lbs 6 oz. Cory guessed within 2 oz of each what their weights were going to be – the ultrasound tech was impressed! Baby A was head down (vertex) & very low and Baby B was still laying sideways (transverse) & very high (but not quite in my ribs – yet!!). They are starting to run out of room in there but still have time & space to move around before labor hits, so it’s still on unknown if we’ll have to have a scheduled c-section or not. We tried to get some 3-D shots of the boys but since they are running out of room in there, it was very difficult. I guess we’ll just have to wait to see them more clearly the good-old-fashioned-way…….at birth!!!
We had a great Memorial Day weekend camping. The weather was great (a bit hot, but bearable) and we spent almost the entire time outdoors – relaxing. Bailey had a blast too! She was really wiped out when we got home on Monday morning – she slept most of the day. I really can’t wait to take the boys on their first camping trip, which will probably end up being next year. Both Cory & I grew up camping during the summertime and we love the outdoors – so I can’t wait to share these passions with our boys.
On the nursery home-front, we picked out & ordered blinds for the nursery last night. They are estimated to take 2-3 weeks to come in, so we’ll see if they are here before the boys arrive. I’m crossing my fingers that they are!! I also picked out some fabric last week and am having a good friend make bed skirts for the cribs. She is so awesome for doing this for us and I can’t wait to see how they turn out.
