If you remember,
back in October, Colton had his turn to take home the class “pet” monkey – Squirrelly – for the weekend. Well, Wyatt finally got his turn a couple weekends ago.
He was really excited for it to be his turn to be in charge of Squirrelly this time. Squirrelly joined us on a weekend that high fevers & low energy were hitting our household.
I picked up Wyatt & Squirrelly from daycare on Friday afternoon and we headed over to Grandma’s house to pick up Colton & visit a bit. (Colton had stayed home from daycare with a high fever that day.) Wyatt was excited to take Squirrelly to see Grandma again, since Squirrelly had made a trip out to Grandma/Grandpa’s house with Colton last time.
On Saturday we had the daycare party in the morning, but left Squirrelly in the car to “take a nap” while we had fun. We laid pretty low for the rest of the weekend – since both Cory & Colton were still a bit under the weather. Squirrelly still got plenty of adventures playing with the boys & reading books – we also did take Squirrelly to Wal-Mart grocery shopping with us. He “ate” breakfast, lunch & dinner with us at the table each day as well. Wyatt took really good care of him & had Squirrelly sleep with him in his bed for naps & bedtime – his favorite part, I think!!
