A friend of mine had her three nephews from California visiting a couple of weeks ago, so we planned a day to meet up at the local pool for some water fun. I was able to take the boys for a visit to this pool
once last year and I hope we’re able to make a couple more visits yet this summer.
The weather was beautiful and the boys had a blast. I left work early for the afternoon, picked up the boys from daycare after naps & headed down to the pool. My mom also joined us to have some fun & be an extra hand with my two boys. Thanks for the help Mom!!
Wyatt totally took to the water & swam around like a little fish the entire time. Colton wasn’t quite as overjoyed about the water as Wyatt, but he still played in it and had a good time. We had to take a couple snack breaks while the lifeguards took their break and the boys did pretty well with that. Swimming & splashing definitely works up an appetite because they ate all of the snacks I brought along & also ate a “larger-than-normal” supper that evening! (So that’s the trick to get a toddler to actually eat at mealtime.)
