Happy July 1st! OK – so July 1st really isn’t a holiday, but looking back at my pregnancy and not knowing when these boys would make their appearance I am so happy that it is finally July and the babies decided to hold off through June and continue growing into the month of July.
This past week was a humid one which has not helped my leg/ankle/foot swelling at all. We pretty much have the nursery complete now. This past weekend we (well, mostly Cory) worked on the finishing touches – putting up the blinds, organizing more clothes, cleaning up a swing and bouncer that my sister is borrowing us and organizing the new “playroom”. It was actually a very productive weekend.
At my doctor’s appointment last week I had a high blood pressure reading – which is sometimes an indication of pre-eclampsia but after another test which came back that I had normal protein levels – I was able to hold off that diagnosis. I am now going to the doctor weekly and will have an ultrasound (biological profile – checking their development) and blood pressure check weekly until the boys arrive. At my appointment yesterday my blood pressure level was a bit elevated again (vs. my normal level) but still in the “acceptable” range. The boys checked out perfect on their ultrasound, so we’ve made it through another week. I should get updated weight estimates at my appointment next week.
Have a great 4th of July weekend!
