Memorial Day Weekend – Part 1

Our tradition is camping Memorial Day weekend – it’s just what my family has always done and Cory & I have continued the tradition with our family. It’s great to have the extra day to enjoy when spending so much time packing up the camper. The weather was beautiful, in the 70s/80s all weekend & no rain – we don’t get that often for this particular weekend, so we ENJOYED it!

We camp on some friend-of-the-family’s private land, so there are no crowds to deal with – just the outdoors. The boys have lots to keep busy – and they do!

Colton has been hooked on hitting the ball off of the tee a lot lately (we’re going to try out a toddler age t-ball clinic this summer!) and he kept up with that by spending some time at bat each day we were camping. The fun thing was that there was an older boy around (friend of our friend’s kid) that both boys just loved to watch & copy while hitting & catching. They don’t have much exposure to older boys, so this was great to see…and they copied his every move.

SWING!

Wyatt, watching his brother...

Wyatt doesn't mind trying hitting/catching too but sometimes
he'd rather just spend his time in the dirt.

All three boys taking a turn in the "outfield".

Ready to catch.

Ready to catch.

Teamwork.

Too cute.

Playing catch with daddy.
